here are some of my drawings. I draw from my imagination, but i have to try anf incorporate more obsevational drawing. I am a bit stuck in my drawing style, and i bothers me.
I have to be aware of the choise of draiwing methodes.

Cindy Sherman

I went to see a Cindy Sherman exhibition in Copenhagen. She fascinates me and i find her really useful to lean towards. She has an amazing power in the way she works with her surroundings. I keeps popping up in my brain, especially when i dressed up as Frida Carlo.

This is where i want to hide

This drawing is drew after reading one of the moomin books. I am very absorbed in the whole universe that Tove Janson have created.

This is a poster for a art project, a floating city in Copenhagen.
I think that Hannah Hock have a strong visual language that i fund very useful. I have cut out hair from a magazine and used it to create abstract shapes, working more on a surreal level.

Good old Louise Bourgeois

I absolutly love her stuff. i talks to me and when i close my eye i can see some of her sculptures. I have been very inspired by her work, and that is visible in many of my drawings.

The french charmer

Oh yes! I love this particularly because it is so badly made. To me it looks like they just set everything up and then just shot it all in one go. I especially like when hey are moving the piled up bread form the one to the other. I looks to me as they are improvising all the way through the video. Another element in the video is the blond girl the i somehow found it easy to identify myself with. Because i could imagin it could be me acting out the little silly role.

A little bit of egotism

This woman, Brenda Dikson is a character from a soap opera from the 80´s. After stopping being a soap opera star she made videos about how to keep in shape , how to look good. she is giving away all her beauty tricks.
Somebody has made a parody of her beauty video. It makes me laugh over and over again. Why? The way the parody make fun of her self obsession and her enormous ego.
i have posted one original and one parody. see if you can guess what´s what!
